Terms & Conditions
A Legal Disclaimer
These Terms & Conditions apply to the website, estimates, proposals, services, design work, production, fabrication, printing, and installation services provided by DC Visual Branding.

By using this website, requesting a quote, approving a proposal, submitting artwork, paying a deposit, or authorizing work to begin, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Overview
DC Visual Branding provides visual branding, signage, graphics, printing, fabrication, and installation services for businesses, organizations, properties, events, and commercial spaces.

These Terms & Conditions are intended to clearly explain how we handle estimates, deposits, payments, artwork, production, installation, project timelines, approvals, cancellations, and related project requirements.
Services Covered
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services offered by DC Visual Branding, including but not limited to:

Design, branding, mockups, site surveys, measurements, large-format printing, vinyl graphics, wall wraps, window graphics, frosted film, exterior graphics, barricade graphics, fabrication, CNC routing, laser cutting, signage, delivery, shipping, and installation.

Additional project-specific terms may be included in individual estimates, proposals, contracts, invoices, or written agreements.
Estimates & Pricing
Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing.

Pricing may change after 30 days or if the project scope changes. Pricing may also be adjusted due to changes in material costs, measurements, access requirements, installation conditions, rush timelines, artwork changes, site conditions, or additional services requested by the client.

Estimates are based on the information available at the time they are prepared. Final pricing may change if site conditions, dimensions, materials, artwork, or project requirements differ from what was originally provided.
Deposits, Payment & Late Fees
For standard projects, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work, with the remaining balance due before installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Small projects may require 100% payment upfront before design, production, printing, pickup, delivery, or installation begins.

Larger, custom, rush, multi-phase, or material-heavy projects may require a custom deposit or payment schedule based on project size and scope.

Deposits become non-refundable once materials have been ordered, artwork has begun, production has started, or project planning has been performed.

Accepted payment methods include credit card, ACH, and Zelle. Credit card payments are subject to a 4% processing fee.

All remaining balances must be paid before installation, pickup, delivery, or release of completed work. If payment is not received by the due date, DC Visual Branding may pause production, withhold installation, withhold finished materials, remove the project from the installation schedule, and apply additional rescheduling, storage, labor, travel, or administrative fees.

Past-due balances may be subject to a $75 late fee plus a monthly finance charge of 2% on the overdue balance, or the maximum amount permitted by California law, whichever is less.

Client is responsible for any returned payment fees, collection costs, attorney’s fees, court costs, or other reasonable costs incurred to collect unpaid balances, where permitted by law.
Artwork, Proofs & Revisions
One initial artwork proof is included unless otherwise stated in the estimate or proposal.

Up to three revisions are included. Additional revisions are billed at $75 per revision.

Vector artwork is required whenever possible. Accepted artwork formats may include PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, and high-resolution JPEG files. Low-resolution, blurry, flattened, incomplete, incorrectly sized, or non-vector artwork may delay production and may require additional design or file preparation charges.

Client is responsible for reviewing all proofs carefully. Approval of a proof means the client approves the layout, spelling, grammar, dimensions, colors, artwork, materials, placement, and overall design.

Once artwork is approved, DC Visual Branding is not responsible for errors, misspellings, incorrect information, layout issues, sizing issues, or design changes requested after approval. Changes after approval may require additional charges and may delay production.
Color Matching
Colors may vary between screens, digital proofs, printed samples, final printed materials, paint, vinyl, lighting conditions, glass, wall surfaces, and existing finishes.

We make reasonable efforts to match requested colors when color references are provided, but exact color matching is not guaranteed unless a physical color match, printed proof, or approved sample is specifically included in the project scope.

Client understands that lighting, material type, surface texture, ink type, laminate, viewing angle, and installation environment may affect final appearance.
Production & Turnaround Time
Typical turnaround time for small to medium-sized projects is approximately 7 to 14 business days.

Production timelines vary by project and begin only after deposit, final artwork approval, receipt of required files, and receipt of any required materials or project information.

Estimated turnaround times are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing. Rush projects may be available at an additional cost and must be approved in writing.

Production or installation may be delayed by artwork issues, material availability, weather, access restrictions, client response time, site conditions, shipping delays, vendor delays, or changes to the project scope.
Installation Requirements
Client is responsible for providing clear and safe access to all installation areas.

Before installation, the client must ensure that the installation area is ready, accessible, and free of obstructions. This may include moving furniture, merchandise, vehicles, displays, equipment, personal items, or other objects that may prevent or delay installation.

Client is responsible for providing available parking, loading access, power if needed, building access, security access, elevator access, and permission to work on the property.

Client is responsible for obtaining landlord, property management, building owner, city, HOA, or other required approvals unless those services are specifically included in writing.

If installers arrive and the site is not ready, inaccessible, unsafe, blocked, or different from the approved project conditions, additional trip charges, labor charges, rescheduling fees, or project delays may apply.
Surface Conditions & Material Limitations
Final results depend heavily on the condition of the installation surface.

DC Visual Branding is not responsible for installation issues, adhesion failure, lifting, peeling, bubbling, paint damage, or material failure caused by poor surface conditions, including but not limited to:

Poor paint adhesion, fresh paint, dirty surfaces, textured walls, moisture, heat, sun exposure, failing stucco, failing drywall, old paint, unknown coatings, dust, grease, silicone, wax, cleaning residue, damaged surfaces, uneven surfaces, previous graphics, customer-supplied materials, or previous incorrect vinyl installations.

Certain surfaces may require testing, cleaning, priming, repair, or special materials before installation. If surface issues are discovered before or during installation, additional charges or delays may apply.

Client understands that vinyl, film, wraps, adhesives, printed graphics, and signage materials have limitations and may perform differently depending on surface type, weather exposure, cleaning methods, traffic, sunlight, temperature, moisture, and installation conditions.
Cancellations, Changes & Rescheduling
Cancellations after deposit, artwork approval, material ordering, production, or scheduling may be subject to charges for design, project planning, materials, printing, fabrication, labor, vendor costs, and any work already completed.

Deposits are non-refundable once materials, artwork, production, or project planning have begun.

Changes requested after approval may require additional charges and may delay the project.

Installation reschedules with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a rescheduling fee.

If installers arrive and the site is not ready, accessible, or approved for installation, additional trip charges, labor charges, and rescheduling fees may apply.
Warranty & Limitations
DC Visual Branding stands behind professional installation workmanship. Warranty coverage, if applicable, is determined on a project-specific basis and must be confirmed in writing.

Manufacturer warranties may apply to certain materials when available and when the material is installed and maintained according to manufacturer requirements.

Warranty coverage does not apply to damage or failure caused by surface failure, poor paint adhesion, moisture, heat, sun exposure, weather, vandalism, misuse, improper cleaning, building movement, third-party work, customer-supplied materials, previous surface damage, or normal wear and tear.

DC Visual Branding does not provide a general warranty unless specifically stated in writing for a particular project.
Client-Supplied Artwork, Logos & Materials
Client represents that they have the legal right to use any logos, artwork, photography, trademarks, fonts, brand assets, images, files, or materials provided to DC Visual Branding.

Client is responsible for ensuring that all supplied artwork and content does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

DC Visual Branding is not responsible for copyright, trademark, licensing, or usage issues related to client-supplied artwork, logos, photography, fonts, or materials.

Customer-supplied materials may not be covered by workmanship or material warranties.
Intellectual Property
Design concepts, mockups, layouts, proofs, renderings, production files, design files, and creative work prepared by DC Visual Branding remain the property of DC Visual Branding until paid for in full.

Final production files, editable files, source files, vector files, or design assets are not included unless specifically stated in the estimate or agreement.

DC Visual Branding may charge additional fees to release editable artwork, production files, or source files.
Project Photos & Portfolio Use
Unless the client requests privacy in writing, DC Visual Branding may photograph, record, or display completed work for portfolio, website, social media, marketing, proposal, or promotional purposes.

If a project involves confidential, sensitive, private, or unreleased information, the client must notify DC Visual Branding in writing before production or installation.
Permits, Code & Property Approvals
Client is responsible for obtaining required permits, landlord approvals, property management approvals, city approvals, HOA approvals, building owner approvals, and confirming code compliance unless those services are specifically included in writing.

DC Visual Branding may have resources or sources that can assist with permits or approvals at an additional cost, but those services are not included unless stated in the estimate or agreement.

Delays caused by permits, approvals, property restrictions, inspections, or code requirements may affect project timelines and may result in additional charges.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DC Visual Branding is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the use of this website, project delays, material limitations, installation conditions, surface failures, or services provided.

DC Visual Branding’s total liability for any project shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by law.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes shall be handled in accordance with applicable California law.
